Pictured below is today's featured product, Delta-Dry.

Material
DELTA®-DRY
is an impermeable membrane made out of a special high-density polyethylene that provides two-sided drainage through its unique dimple and groove design.

Product Characteristics
The structured membrane provides a protective weather resistive barrier with complete capillary break for residential and commercial building structures. It protects the building from water intrusion behind the exterior cladding (i.e. wind driven rain) and manages water leakage through the cladding as well as transient moisture migrating from the wall structure by providing an air-gap on the interior and exterior side of the membrane

DELTA®-DRY accommodates water vapor, driven from the interior to the exterior of the structure to escape through the air space between the exterior sheathing board and the membrane while minimizing the potential for condensation that could cause damage in the building envelope. The membrane provides breathability behind siding, brick veneer, or any other approved exterior cladding. At the same time it impedes solar-driven moisture towards the interior of the structure as it occurs for instance with brick veneer walls, or any other absorptive cladding material.

The innovative membrane also helps to save energy by reflecting radiation heat – keeping heat outside in the summer and warmth inside in the winter

DELTA®-DRY is installed on top of the exterior sheathing board (OSB) as a substitute for conventional sheathing membranes (i.e. building paper), or can also be installed on top of breather type sheathing membranes. The material is easy to cut with a utility knife. Seems are to be overlapped around 3 inches. Window and door cut-outs are to be wrapped with a self-adhesive flashing material along the bottom sill and the side jambs. Exterior cladding material can be installed as usual right on top of DELTA®-DRY. For more details please check the installation instructions.
